Just look how happy he is...
Modric, quality player, player of the season and universally loved. But one that has publicly admitted wanting to "step up" in his career. We all knew we'd see things like this given our failure to qualify for the Champions League, and even though both Redknapp and Levy have said we won't be selling anyone, what would you prefer? £50, £40 or even £30 Million in the bank or a disgruntled and demotivated little Croatian? Everyone is replaceable, everyone has their price. Sure, I'd be more than happy for Modric to stay a Spurs player, but such is the nature of the sport, £30 Million and as long as we replace him with another £30 Million rated player, it would be acceptable.
Modric wants to play in the Champions League, Spurs to get finish top 4 this season is currently 6/5 on Paddy Power's football betting pages. Odds are good to keep Modders happy.

Forlan to play my body double in upcoming auto-biographical film
Another striker we're being linked with, 25 year old Espanyol striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. Turning heads across Europe and especially in Italy, and with Jol at Fulham. He is likely to cost around the £15-£17 Million mark.
Other ITK
Redknapp is apparently looking to sure up the defence following Woodgate's exit and King's continuing failure to have two working legs, and we're being linked to Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci. Also a target for Juventus and Sevilla, Tasci is valued at around £12 Million.
More in Redknapp's usual range quality, we're being linked to the Blackburn defender Samba. Blackburn deny there have been any approaches for the Arsenal and Spurs target. Let's hope that's the case.

Karl has his say on Parker & Adam
Surprisingly, Harry hasn't tried to sign Scott Parker or Charlie Adam yet. Thought by many as done deals before the end of last season, Parker is no doubt looking for an opportunity to return to the premier league and Adam came close to signing for us in Janurary. But as Karl Pilkington might say, "Do we need 'em?"
