Last season, teams in the bottom half of the league were the collective bane on our lives and arguably the reason we
dropped out of the top 4. We failed to break down the so-called lesser teams as our competitors could. And so, we arrive at this match rock bottom of the league, with a very real danger of remaining there after Saturday. Despite that last sentence, it's not quite panic stations yet, and whilst losing to the teams in 1 & 2 in the league is not disastrous, we need to start picking up points and quick. With a Liverpool team on the up paying a visit to the Lane in our next fixture, a team low on confidence could easily become one that has no points from four games.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The midfield we played against the Blue Mancs has been exposed for it's ludicrously flaccid nature, so the signing and immediate introduction of Parker should provide us with much needed bite and stop the flop. The saggy midfield was cited by Redknapp as the main reason for our "2 points 8 games" when he took over from Ramos, and I'm sure he'll be keen to avoid that particular self-fulfilling destiny.
Other new boy Adebayor should also jump straight into the starting 11 and hopefully get on with making the target of 25 that chum Assou-Ekotto has kindly set for him. Adebayor, ex-Gooner, if he scores goals, I don't care, if he's crap, he will get abused. However, any friend of Assou-Ekotto's, is a friend of mine. And if he scores goals, that will certainly help silence the haters.Opposition Fan View
The Wolves fans are pretty confident of a getting at least a draw on Saturday. They have noted that we will be low on confidence, and desperate for a win to kick start our season. Therefore, sloppy, ill-disciplined and easy to contain. By contrast, sitting in 5th, with their two wins and a draw, they are already in the swing of things and are full of optimism for what the season might bring. They are a bit worried that Luka Modric has hit some form after his wonder goal for Croatia in the week, and are hopeful of him returning to Sulka Modric now that he's returned to England.
Score Predictions: 55% Wolves Win, 30% Draw, 15% Spurs Win

Spurs Team News
Whilst unconfirmed by the club at the time of writing, we top the injury table at this early stage of the season with VDV, Sandro, Lennon, King, Pienaar & Gallas all out. Walker is back from injury, and will be in contention for a start, but if the last two matches have proved anything, it's that Dawson and Kaboul need all the help they can get.
They'll get some of it from having Parker in midfield, but Corluka won't be pegging it up the pitch as much as Walker will, so I'll stick with him until King or Gallas are back.
Lennon being injured poses an interesting conundrum of who will play on the right, with no obvious right sided midfielders left in the squad.

Score prediction? Despite the slightly negative nature of this match preview, I've kind of depressed myself into thinking we'll win it. Why the hell not?! Same as last year but without the tedious equalising goal. 3-2 Spurs. 2 for Ade, 1 for JD. COYS!
