- Tottenblog Hotspur is running a competition to win a new COYS Spurs Shirt. Click here to enter.
- William Gallas met Snoop Dogg during a gig in London...
- Robin van Persie, following his statement, that "he believes in Arsenal" has put his five bedroom house in Goffs Oak up for sale... http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31540400.html
- Pienaar's South Africa, hilariously entered their final game of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers thinking they only needed a draw to qualify. They the proceeded to play out a 0-0 draw and celebrated like they had qualified. They later found out that this wasn't actually the case and really needed a win.... Stephen Pienaar's twitter account sums up the four stages of apprehension, elation, confusion and depression up in four simple consecutive tweets:
- Apprehension: Good luck to the boys today against Sierra Leone. It's a shame I cant be there in Nelspruit but my thoughts are with the team. #BafanaBafana
- Elation: Bafana qualify AFCON 2012!!!!!!!!!!! #shapabafanashapa well done boys!!!
- Confusion: I thought it was head-to-head?
- Depression: Devastated just leaned that Niger is through. To be honest we should be winning our home games.
- The Olympic Stadium fell through for West Ham, which no doubt means we'll have to endure Levy bidding for that again. Meanwhile, the BBC reports that the vast majority of Spurs, Orient and Spam fans don't want their teams to go to the Olympic Stadium.
- Russia (Pav), France (Kaboul), Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Holland (VDV), Germany, Italy and England (Parker, Walker) have qualified for the Euros. The play-offs will involve Turkey, the Republic of Ireland, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia (Luka, Krancjar, Corluka), Montenegro, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
- All of our internationals came back uninjured except for Corluka, Krancjar and Sandro, who all picked up a knock and are 50/50. VDV might be a little tired after playing 90 minutes for Holland on Tuesday
- All of our African players are either retired from international football, or their teams are not in the African Cup of Nations this January, so we won't be losing the likes of BAE, Adebayor, Bassong, Pienaar.
- Pav Scored for Russia. Bale scored for Wales in both of their games whilst playing on the right. Food for thought.
