Spurs to win the League? Do You Believe the Hype?

Once again we came out victorious after another hard fought win against West Brom. You'll be well aware that's nine wins out of ten now which has led to Redknapp and the media alike to start questioning whether or not we can actually win the league.

Arguments For
Although only just under a third of the season completed, Spurs' points per games stands at 2.333. Which would have been enough to win the 13 out of 19 previous Premier League seasons.

Long serving players at Spurs are citing the current team as the best Spurs team they've ever played in.

Even with key players out (VDV, Modric) we're still able to play good football and win.

We have a tight knit, happy and motivated squad.

We don't have the "distraction" of the Champions League and are not risking our first team players in Europe, unlike the teams around us.

Cameroon pair Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Sebastien Bassong, South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar and Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor will not be playing in the African Cup of Nations. If Ivory Coast reach the Africa Cup of Nations final, Man City will be without Yaya Toure for games against Spurs, Everton, Fulham and Aston Villa.

Our next 9 games are easily winnable on our current form. (With Bolton (H), Stoke (A), Sunderland (H), Chelsea (H), Norwich (A), Swansea (A), West Brom (H), Everton (H) and Wolves (H)) Which will give us a points to games ratio of 2.619. Good enough to win all 19 previous seasons.

It's Spurs. We'll find a way to overcome!

Arguments Against
It's just hype over our current run of form. There is always a team up there mixing it with the big boys, and come January, February time, they've fallen by the wayside.

Ledley King is a big part of our team. If Ledley gets injured, our defence will fall apart.

Man City are too strong, have massive strength in depth and will run away with it even with Yaya Toure leaving for the African Cup of Nations or a couple of injuries to key players.

Man U and Chelsea will cease their wobble and come good eventually.

If we get further in the Europa League, we'll start to play our first team, risking injury and fitness for the League.

We're too reliant on Adebayor. Whether it's Ade & VDV, or Ade and Defoe, Adebayor has scored or assisted 46% of our goals in the league. An injury to Ade an we're very thin up top.

We still have to play Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea away and Man U at home.
City have alot more of thier big games at home. (Chelsea, Arsenal away and Man U, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal at home)

It's Spurs. We'll find a way to disappoint!
