Spurs v Bolton - Opposition Fan Forum View, Opta Stats & Team News

Bolton sit just the wrong side of the relegation line and their fans are really not up for this game. After reading almost 20 pages of various Bolton forums, I couldn't find one fan who was seriously suggesting they could actually win this game.

The have some very thin striking options after Sturridge and Elmander left at the end of last season, compounded by some defensive injuries and suspensions forcing them into playing Zat Knight. A player which they say is alright in the air but is a liability with players such as Defoe, VDV and Adebayor running at them. Other than those lot, they're pretty sure Bale and Lennon will destroy their right and left backs, that's if they don't end up getting themselves red cards for the repeated fouling of said Spurs wingers. They pretty much just want to get this game out of the way before attempting to get their season back on track.

One fan reckons you'd get shorter odds than a Bolton win by betting on Owen Coyle using the phrase, "After that we left ourselves with a mountain to climb," in his post match interview.
A few of them have even bought a ticket to the match, seen the two sides contrasting runs of form and sold their tickets to some poor unsuspecting chump.

Let's close with this quote:
"I can't see any weaknesses in this Spurs team at the moment."

Team News
Michael Dawson (Achilles), Tom Huddlestone (ankle) Niko Kranjcar (thigh) and Danny Rose (ankle) are unavailable whilst VDV faces a late fitness test. Even if he is passed fit, I'd play Defoe, no point in risking his chewing gum hamstrings straight after coming back from doing them in again. Give him a little rest.
Friedel
Walker   King   Kaboul   BAE
Lennon   Modric   Parker   Bale
Defoe   Ade

I've got to agree with the Bolton fans assessment. A Spurs win is most definitely on the cards, just how good can we make our goal difference look? COYS!
