Spurs v Wolves - Opposition Fan Forum Views, Team News, Who to Boo & Pub Ammo

The Wolves forums are awash with abuse aimed at manager Mick McCarthy. Not necessarily saying he should be axed, but criticising his team selection and tactics. There are two schools of thought, the first that he will play defensive and put 10 men behind the ball, or the second is that he will put out an attacking side and just go for it. There's a big disagreement about what one is right...

"Granted, it is Spurs, so we need to defend, but keep sticking with defensive tactics and sticking 10 men behind the ball, we're gonna get relegated"

"F*** it, go all out. What have we got to lose?!"

"Idiot. Go all out against Spurs and you'll leave space for them to counter and destroy you. 10 men behind the ball please."

As for a prediction on the result...

"I think we will ship a few on Saturday. Spurs look amazing."

"I really fancy us to get something. Spurs are due a slip up soon. And reckon we could provide it on sat."

(in reply to the quote above) "A team that's winning and winning well every match they play aren't due a slip up. Quite the opposite in fact. However, I like your twisted logic so i'm going to agree. Spurs 0 - 1 Wolves"

Wolves Fan Predictions: Spurs Win 65%, Draw 25%, Wolves Win 10%

Pub Ammo
-Wolves have won just five games at White Hart Lane.
-Spurs have kept three consecutive clean sheets.
-Mick McCarthy's side arrive in north London without a win in their past seven games.
-Spurs have scored in 19 of their 20 Premier League games this campaign - a club record.
-Wolves have only conceded two goals in their previous three away games in all competitions.
-Steven Fletcher is Wolves top goalscorer with eight in all competitions while Jermain Defoe leads the way for Spurs with 11.

Team News
Super Scotty P will have a late fitness test on his knee to see if he’s up for the game, whilst King, Gallas and Sandro are all out with various leg faults. Following Dawson and Kaboul's assured showing in defence and Livermore's outstanding display in midfield against Everton last time out, I'm not as worried as I was about those four players being injured. Turns out we have enough quality in the depths of our squad to keep us in the hunt.

VDV & Ade aren't necessarily in the goals at the moment, but unfortunately for Defoe, who is in the goals, the team is winning and playing well and Van Der Bayor are obviously a part of that. As for Parker, even if he is fit, give him another week to rest up and get fit for the Man City game. Livermore deserves more game time. Unchanged from Everton please.

Don't let their league position fool you, Wolves are a difficult side, this won't be easy. That being said, 1-0 to Spurs to take us joint top until Citeh play Wigan on Monday.

p.s.
Arsenal loanee Emmanuel Frimpong could line up against us tomorrow. Let's not forget this is the man that when asked what he thought of Tottenham on Soccer AM, said “Tottenham play like girls’ football.” Grammatical errors aside, he can expect a hostile reception at the lane.
That's him on the right hand side of the picture to the right. Frimpong playing Ping Pong, Frimpong Ping Pong...... OK I'll stop, just boo him on Saturday.

Believe! COYS!
