Liverpool 0 Spurs 0 - Report, Ratings & Player Twitter Reaction

Liverpool will no doubt be dissapointed with the result given that they dominated the majority of the game, Spurs fans however, myself included, will no doubt be happy with a well battled away point.

Liverpool pressured us all over the pitch and hemmed us in forcing top backs to the wall defending throughout, mixed in with a helping of luck. Especially in the second half when our inability to clear our lines became very frustrating. On top of that there was no real link between midfield and attack throughout which left Adebayor isolated and restricted our chances to the odd fast break.

Highlight of the first half was the cat. A masterstroke by the FA. Firstly, who doesn't like a cat, and secondly including a random cat appearance during a game will encourage female friends to watch the game in silence instead of talking at football fans. Then again, questions about nothingness will be replaced with questions about when the cat will be arriving. Some tweaking needed perhaps. Either way, that cat went past more people in a minute than Gareth Bale did all night.

Second half, Liverpool pressed, Spurs looked flat, Bale dived, got booked and missed the best chance of the game. Parker got gouged in the eye and kicked in the stomach by Suarez, and Liverpool perhaps should have won it with a host of missed chances.

Player Ratings
Friedel 8 - Good saves and body on the line stuff.
Walker 7 - Did well to control the right, but needs support when attacking.
Dawson 8 - Beast. More body on the line stuff.
King 7 - Calm. No last minute mental tackles.
BAE 7 - Plenty of attempted attacks down the left and a few misplaced passes. But to mark down Benny would be unfair. Players seem to constantly give him balls that put him under pressure. Not many left backs can play their way out of that trouble as much as Benny does.
Krancjar 7.5 - Able to play the team out of trouble at the back with some neat touches and passes. A good performance from Niko. Although it still boggles the mind why he wears a dressing gown instead of a football shirt.
Modric 6.5 - Quiet again.
Livermore 6.5 - Standard.
Parker 9 - Uber Beast. Not only did he put his body on the line, he put it into the fires of hell at some points.
Bale 5 - Booked for diving, or shoving, either way he deserved it. Pack that crap in Gareth. Fluffed the games best chance around the 85th minute when he struck a one on one straight at Reina. Better decision making required.
Ade 6 - Did his best to hold up play and bring players into the game, but he never had any support and Liverpool knew this and swarmed around him whenever he had the ball.

Subs
Rose & Saha 5 - Didn't do much.
