The second goal came after Krancjar controlled the ball with a neat touch and sent Ade down the wing. Ade curled in a cross and Saha jumped up to side foot in his debut goal. 2-0.
Smart play from Luka found Ade in the box who laid the ball off to Saha, who duly blasted home his second debut goal from just within the area. 3-0.
The fourth again, comes from Ade assist. His shot is saved by Krul and as the ball comes back to Ade he pokes it into the path of Krancjar who slams a left foot shot into the far corner. 4-0.
A somewhat quieter second half in which the fifth goal was the highlight. Benny crosses the ball in and Saha heads back to Ade who volleys in on the spin. 5-0!

Player Ratings
Friedel 7.5 - Not a massive amount to do, but some excellent reaction saves and distribution.Walker 7 - A constant thorn down Newcastle's side.
Dawson & King 7.5 - Both good performances, neither put a foot wrong.
BAE 8.5 - Brilliant. Scored the first goal, some quality touches, crosses and defensive play. Super confident after his goal. Remember that flying back heel flick pass in the first half that set up an attack, and in the second half, having the confidence in his area to flick the ball up, do a few keepy-uppies before heading the ball back to Friedel. Krancjar 7.5 - Continued good run of form, scored a goal too.
Parker 8 - Super Scotty Parker
Modric 7.5 - Getting better, and a very good performance but still quiet compared to the start of the season.
Bale 7 - A few attacks, but wandering around the pitch caused him to have another relatively quiet match. Subbed.
Saha 9 - Two goals and an assist in his debut. Worked very well with Ade.
Adebayor 9.5 - Assisted four goals and scored one. Silenced his critics in that game. Playing with a second striker really helped as he had some support for his hold up play. Brilliant. Lost half a point for missing two or three very good chances.Subs
Lennon 6 - Threatening enough.
Defoe 6 - Probably very pissed off about losing his position to Saha. Looked sharp when he came on.
Nelsen 6 - He's not Ledley, but looks a decent back up option.
